1. Comfort

Nissan builds some of the comfiest seats out there. The Pathfinder gives you eight of them, cloth-wrapped and heated for good measure. Higher trims build on this solid foundation with semi-aniline leather, ventilation to the front seats, second-row captain’s chairs (which reduce the total seating capacity to seven), heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and a removable second-row center console.

2. Cargo-Carrying Capability

The new Pathfinder is as focused on passengers as it is on their gear. There’s 17 cubic feet of room behind the third row and 81 with the second and third rows folded flat. An available kick-activated liftgate ensures that loading is a breeze. Nissan worked in plenty of smart storage, like a sizable bin beneath the center console that both front passengers can reach, plus an underfloor compartment in the cargo area.

3. Powertrain

The Pathfinder comes with a 3.5-liter V6 that makes 284 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. That’s enough to tow up to 6,000 pounds. The CVT was dropped in 2022, so the only transmission now is a nine-speed ZF automatic. Every trim, except the Rock Creek, starts with front-wheel drive (FWD), and all can be optioned with all-wheel drive (AWD).

4. Technology

Lower trims of the 2025 Pathfinder feature an eight-inch screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, a seven-inch digital gauge cluster, four USB ports (two in front and two at the back), and a six-speaker audio system. Models higher on the ladder enhance the experience with bigger displays (12.3-inch gauge cluster and 9-inch touchscreen), more USB ports, a 13-speaker Bose sound system, and wireless charging.

5. Safety

Settle in the cabin knowing you’re in one of the safest vehicles on the road. Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, so you should have core aids, such as blind-spot alerts, automatic braking, and lane warnings, built in right from the start.
