Every Nissan includes a suite of advanced driver assistance safety features to help keep you safe on the road. These systems utilize sonar, radar, and advanced camera technology to identify potential accident situations and warn you so you can brake or take other actions to avert a collision. In addition, several of its features will actively intervene to prevent an accident.

Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection is an example of one of these systems. It uses radar and a camera to identify pedestrians or animals in front of your vehicle. It determines the distance to the object and compares this to your speed. If you’re traveling too fast, a warning icon will appear on your screen, and you’ll hear warning beeps. If you can’t react quickly,  the system initiates hard braking to stop your Nissan almost instantly.

Nissan Connect is a range of innovative communication and connectivity features installed in every Nissan. Its features allow you to stay connected to your digital lifestyle even on the road. It offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity to link your smartphone to your Nissan. This enables you to send and receive texts, make and receive calls, and even access your saved music playlist hands-free.

Google built-in allows you to access navigation and mapping information to get you where you want to go, control your smart home appliances with Google Assistant, or download the latest app from Google Play.  Nissan Connect includes all these features and more for free for the first three years. After this, you can easily and quickly sign up and continue to enjoy its benefits for as long as you want.

MyNISSAN App

If you download the MyNISSAN app for Apple or Android phones, you can remotely access many of your vehicle’s functions. These include locking and unlocking the doors, switching the lights on or off, or remote starting the engine. You can also view your vehicle’s health report, receive maintenance reminders, or pinpoint your Nissan if it’s ever stolen.

You can set several notification alerts, which can be particularly useful if you have a teen driver in the family. These alerts warn you if your Nissan travels over a certain speed, if it leaves a designated area you’ve chosen, or if it’s moving after a certain time.
